These pieces have had images sandblasted onto one or both layers of iridescent glass. The base layer is a dark iridescent glass and the top layer a clear or a blue to green cathedral iridescent  glass.  Once the image is chosen, it is drawn on resist paper with parts of the design to be sandblasted cut away.  One or both layers are then sandblasted, not in the same areas however when blasting both layers.  The resist paper is removed, the two layers of glass matched with the images facing each other, fused, then enhanced with gold paint and finally slumped.  

Each tray has bumpers on the bottom and comes with a lovely cheese knife that complements the color and design.   All are 8" x 8".  Hand wash.
