These are fun and extremely colorful.  Depending on the way they are displayed and lit, the reflection/shadowing on the wall is part of the artpiece.  Individual  pieces can be constructed in any color scheme and as large as 22" x 36". 

Pate de Verre (paste of glass):  a combination of finely ground glass and a liquid medium is used to create these glass paintings.  The process is like moving mud around on a glass canvas.  Those little particles of glass can be combined like paint to create blended colors.  It is an exciting venue.  The control I have in combining and placing the colors of glass is a powerful obsession -  one that is also quite humbling.

The subjects are often photographs that I have taken around the Deep Creek Lake area.  I work back to front - fusing each layer separately which results in a 2 or 3 dimensional piece that you can actually look into!
