A large dichroic square - wrapped in wire - with a hammered swirl as a top layer. Anything is possible once you plan and map out your design. Gosh, winter was awful this year - snow just kept coming and coming. I think Garrett County set a new record for the stuff. The scene from my window was the same for many weeks, (and not inspiring), and I knew that I needed to develop a new line for my jewelry. I went nuts with wire wrapping after being inspired by some Costa Rican artisans selling their wares on the beach in Dominical. Boy, that was the kick in the pants I needed. So many designs are possible with wire - you can add beads, you can create designs with the wig-jig, or just adding a twisted frame really changes a pendant and makes it pop. So here you have it - My 2010 Spring Collection.
NEW for 2010! Wire-Wrapped Pendants -"Julie's Gems!" I really got into wire-wrapping this winter and produced a plethora of pendants - some with beads, some with wire embellishments, some with sand-blasted images that are fantastic (photos coming soon).
